Modern apprenticeships...
Helena Partnerships works with St Helens College, Fusion 21 and St Helens Chamber to provide effective modern apprenticeship programmes. The apprenticeship offers both a nationally recognised qualification and valuable on the job experience.
What is available?
Each year approximately 4-6 trade apprentices are recruited to work within Helena Propertycare. We also recruit for Administration Apprentices throughout the year, as opportunities arise.
Some of the apprenticeships we have recruited for include:
Apprentice Plumber
Apprentice Plasterer
Apprentice Electrician
Apprentice Joiner
Apprentice Tiler
Apprentice Painter and Decorator
Apprentice Learning and Development Assistant
Apprentice Administration Assistant
The trade apprentices last approximately 3-4 years and annual pay increases are given as the apprentice progresses through their course. On completion of the apprenticeship, an offer of full time employment with Helena Partnerships will be made, subject to satisfactory performance reviews and attendance record.
Administration Apprentices differ slightly. The Apprentice will stay with us for 12 months, and in that time will complete an NVQ in Business and Administration, whilst gathering valuable on the job evidence and experience. After the 12 months, there will be a review as to whether a permanent position can be offered.
Benefits
Benefits of a modern apprenticeship with Helena Partnerships include supported learning whilst gaining hands-on training and development, and also building up your knowledge and experience.
We offer ongoing opportunities for development, and will offer a challenging role for you to gain from. You will be allocated a mentor, and an apprentice co-ordinator is on hand to ensure that you are receiving the best experience possible. Regular reviews will take place to provide and support requirements you may have. .
When should I apply?
If you are interested, then why not give us a call on 01744 675757. We may not have any opportunities at that time but should any arise, we will send you the details and an application pack. Look out for opportunities with Connexions and in the local newspapers. Trade apprentice recruitment usually takes place in June or July, ready for the September intake, but Administration apprenticeships can arise at any time throughout the year.
All apprentice vacancies are advertised on this website.
Applications are particularly welcomed from females, BME or disabled individuals, as these groups are underrepresented in the Propertycare workforce.
