Here's how Helena is getting on in delivering the objectives set out in our Corporate Plan.

The right homes in the right places

We said...We would invest in the longer term sustainability of our estates and homes, making sure that our existing homes meet the needs of our tenants in the future.

We did...Complete a major improvement scheme on more than 100 homes in the Moss Bank area to make them more eco-friendly and more purse-friendly for our customers. These old British Iron and Steel Federation (BISF) properties now have a brand new external look and are leading the way in utilising solar panel technology, which helps reduce fuel bills by providing free electricity during sunlight hours.

Green and clean neighbourhoods

We said...We would improve the standard of environmental services on our estates.

We did...Introduce a Green Space Service in 2010 to manage and maintain all open spaces on Helena's estates. The team have gone from strength-to-strength and have not only maintained the areas to a high standard, but have planted wildflower meadows on disused land and encouraged people to get involved in green-fingered activities.
